Montreal’s metro stations double as hidden galleries, showcasing murals, sculptures, and installations by local artists. Often overlooked in the rush of daily life, these works quietly tell the story of the city one platform at a time.
The STM has commissioned me to create a booklet that showcases the artwork in every metro station uncovering the stories, symbolism, and artists behind each piece, and inviting readers to see the network as a vibrant underground museum.
The approach was to design a magazine that highlights each metro station, showcasing its unique artwork, architectural features, and cultural significance station by station, story by story.
